    USS Antietam action

U.S. sailors and visiting family members watch from the deck of the guided missile cruiser USS Antietam (CG 54) as the ship approaches the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Rappahannock (T-AO 204) for a replenishment at sea Aug. 21, 2013, in the Pacific Ocean during a tiger cruise. Tiger cruises are a Navy program in which friends and relatives of crew members are allowed to join a returning ship at sea and sail the rest of the way home. The Antietam was returning from a patrol as part of the George Washington Carrier Strike Group in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
