Coast Guard Station Fishers Island, located on the southwestern side of Fishers Island, N.Y., conducted its annual seasonal closure Sept. 3, 2013. Station Fishers Island, a search and rescue detachment, operates during the boating season from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
