During a hot Sunday, on the training site, Lt. Andrew Cooke, from Medford, N.J., a member of the US Coast Guard Reserve Container Inspection Training and Assistance Team (CITAT), works with soldiers of the 1190th Transportation Bde on Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) procedures during TRANSWARRIOR 13 at Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif. TRANSWARRIOR is an annual exercise developed by the 1394th Transportation Brigade, Camp Pendleton, Calif., a reporting unit of the Deployment Support Command of Birmingham, AL. TRANSWARRIOR certifies and thoroughly trains Soldiers in their military occupational specialties (MOS – their military job) and gives them challenging scenarios based upon their skill sets to hone those skills by operating in austere environments and performing missions to prepare them for probable deployment or for taskings when they will need to use those skills.
