Richard Jones (right), operations sergeant major, 1st Cavalry Division, places the Order of St. Maurice medallion, an award recognizing those who have made a significant impact on the infantry community, around the neck of British Army Maj. John Russell, chief of operations, 1st Cav. Div. during a ceremony July 3 at Fort Hood, Texas. Russell, who hails from Chalford, Gloucestershire, England, coordinated all operations for Multi-National Division-Baghdad during Operation Iraqi Freedom Rotation 06-08.
