The playground on Patrick Henry Village was quite the popular place to be for families. A true sign of closure must be the deafening silence at the playground. The memories tucked into each of these little cubes, down each slide, and through the pipes run deep and wide. Turning over these installations will be a great value to the local nationals. May their children enjoy them as much as the Americans did during their time in Heidelberg. U.S. Army Europe closed the final installation in Heidelberg, Sept. 6, 2013.
