    HETT Platoon in Action

(Left to right) Spc. Lonnie Woodard, a Cleveland, Al., native, and a driver/maintenance technician with the Heavy Equipment Truck Transport Platoon, 416th Transportation Company, 168th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Sustainment Brigade, stands with Sgt. Glenn Rice, a Milton, Florida, native, also a driver/maintenance technician. Rice has 20 years of military service and a degree in automotive and diesel mechanics while Woodard is only a few credits away from his associates in HVAC and studied diesel engine repair at a vocational school for four years. Both soldiers volunteered to assist the maintenance crew in keeping the HETT's on the road. "There's not much we can't do," said Rice. The HETT Platoon is on a 15 month rotation in Iraq and moves heavy equipment throughout the Multi-National Corps-Iraq footprint.
