Members of the U.S. Air Force distribute slices of cake following the USAF’s 66th birthday ceremony held at ISAF Headquarters in Kabul, Sept. 18, 2013. The annual tradition celebrates the day the USAF become a separate military service. The Air Corps became a subordinate element of the Army Air Forces on June 20, 1941.
