Family members pay respect to 1st Lt. Ashley White-Stumpf at a memorial structure erected in her memory during an unveiling ceremony at the Goldsboro National Guard Armory, N.C., Sept. 15, 2013. White-Stumpf was assigned to C Company, 230th Brigade Support Battalion, 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team, when she volunteered to deploy as part of a cultural support team.
