Chief Boatswain's Mate Ernest Pippin and Boatswain's Mate 2nd Class Carlos Gonzales, assigned to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46), give a child a doll donated from Project Handclasp as part of community relations project at the Tengku Ampuan Fatimah orphanage during the Malaysian phase of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training 2008. CARAT is an annual series of bilateral maritime training exercises between the United States and six Southeast Asia nations designed to build relationships and enhance the operational readiness of the participating forces.
