Col. Brad Owens, director of operations and planning for the South Carolina Army National Guard visits soldiers from the 742nd Support Maintenance Company SCARNG, and gets a tour of the maintenance base from Lt. Col. José Forero, Baman base commander, Sept. 18, 2013, in Baman, Colombia. At the Baman maintenance base, the soldiers work on many army needs to include vehicles, night vision goggles, weapons, equipment and uniforms. The facilities test and produce new and refurbished equipment for the army. The 742nd SMC has been working on Baman Maintenance Base since Sept. 4th, sharing experiences and different maintenance techniques with the maintenance personnel in the Colombian army.
