Maj. Gen. Anthony Ierardi (right), the 1st Cavalry Division commanding general, expresses his condolences to family members of 1st Lt. Jason Togi during a remembrance ceremony Oct. 2 at the 73rd Street Chapel (1st Cav Memorial Chapel) here. While serving as a combat engineer platoon leader in Hasan Karez, Afghanistan, Togi died of injuries suffered Aug. 26, 2013, when enemy forces attacked his vehicle with an improvised explosive device.
