Family members of soldiers assigned to 503rd Military Police Battalion, 16th MP Brigade, stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C., experience a day of airborne military police activities in an Order of the Airborne Crossed Pistols Sept. 24. The Order of the Airborne Crossed Pistols is a military police tradition that dates back to 1923. It is similar to the cavalry's spur ride tradition. Family members gain a better understanding of what their soldier experiences in daily training and duty performance. Pfc. Ryan Meade assigned to 118th MP Company is the padded suspect and the trainer (right) is Sgt. 1st Class Victor Hernandez, assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 503rd MP Battalion.
