Staff Sgt. Lucas O. Brewer, with 1st Intelligence Battalion, stands ready to receive the Bronze Star medal for meritorious service in support of Operation New Dawn in 2011. Brewer received the military’s fourth highest honor during a ceremony at Camp Pendleton, Calif., Oct. 11, for leading his team in the location and capture of several members of a terrorist cell, potentially saving lives and preventing disaster.
