Sergeant Butch Fortner, a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program instructor with Black Sea Rotational Force 14, and this week’s Marine of the Week, guides Marines through arm-bar takedowns during a MCMAP class at Mihail Kogalniceanu, Romania, Oct. 25, 2013. The program trains Marines in unarmed combat, edged weapons, weapons of opportunity, and rifle and bayonet techniques. It also encourages mental, physical, and character development to include discipline, leadership, and teamwork.
