Gunner's Mate 3rd Class Christian Pugliese, a member of the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer's (LHD 4) search and rescue (SAR) team, swims toward a 7-meter rigid hull inflatable boat (RHIB) carrying a simulated casualty during a rescue drill. Boxer is the flagship for the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
