Officials from Camp Zama and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Japan District celebrated completion of a $2.6 million Golf Pro Shop with a ribbon cutting ceremony, Oct 24. The facility, completed by the Japan District Sept. 30, serves military service members, civilians and their families in the Camp Zama community. At 3,936 square feet, amenities include a retail sales floor, dressing room, indoor putting green, restrooms, golf simulation room, club rental room, storage area, and office space for four personnel. The facility was designed to achieve LEED Silver-level certification under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design rating system.
