Lance Cpl. Moises Garcia, a squad automatic weapon machine gunner with Company K, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 5, stands guard at the K3 Oil Refinery near Haditha, Iraq, July 18. The opening of the refinery was celebrated at a ceremony where over 100 government and community leaders gathered along with coalition forces. The refinery, capable of processing 16,000 barrels of crude oil per day had been non-operational for three years until coalition forces and Iraqi government leaders stepped in to repair it. The refinery will make the Al Anbar province capable of meeting its fuel needs and will eventually provide fuel for a power station, which will supply the entire Al Anbar province with an ample supply of electricity.
