Marine Corps Maj. Jason Drake, the Military Transition Team leader for the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 1st Iraqi army division Quick Reaction Force, and Lt. Col. Samir Hashem Hareb al-Maliky, the Iraqi 2nd Battalion executive officer, have created a bond of trust and friendship that has grown beyond their professional relationship. QRF 3 was attached to the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division during Operation Peace in Sadr City.
