Army Spc. Jerad Harper, a member of the 193rd Military Police Company, practices starting an intravenous injection on fellow Joint Task Force Guantanamo Trooper, Spc. Henry Richardson, during a Combat Lifesavers course, July 17. Harper and other members of the 193rd received hands-on training guided by the bases only CLS-certified instructor, Staff Sgt. Christopher Ellis. JTF Guantanamo conducts safe and humane care and custody of detained enemy combatants. The JTF conducts interrogation operations to collect strategic intelligence in support of the Global War on Terror and supports law enforcement and war crimes investigations. JTF Guantanamo is committed to the safety and security of American service members and civilians working inside its detention facilities.
