Col. Peter S. Rubin answers a question during a bilateral training conference between judge advocates serving with the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, III Marine Expeditionary Force and Marine Corps Installations Pacific. The conference gave JGSDF and Marine judge advocates a chance to engage in face-to-face discussions regarding their role in amphibious operations. Rubin is the staff judge advocate for MCIPAC. The JGSDF officers are members of the 15th Brigade, Western Army of the JGSDF, and the Ground Staff Office of the JGSDF. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Stephen D. Himes/Released)
