Service members with the 11th Weapons of Mass Destruction, Civil Support Team test for hazardous materials at the scene of a collapsed building at the former Brunswick Naval Air Station in Brunswick, Maine, Tuesday morning. The incident is part of a large-scale civilian and military training exercise called Vigilant Guard. During the event, first responders, emergency management personnel, homeland security teams and around 1,500 National Guard soldiers from New England states will work together to overcome a series of natural and man-made catastrophes that culminate during a severe winter storm.
