Lt. Col. Darren Werner, commander, 4th Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division -- Baghdad, opens the first Iraqi security forces Logistics Conference, July 20, at Forward Operating Base Falcon in the Rashid District of southern Baghdad. Werner, who hails from Mayville, Mich., hosted the event to provide ISF logistics officers the opportunity to collectively identify problems and solutions to challenges that exist in their supply systems. The "Packhorse" Bn. plans to conduct more of the professional development programs as part of their ongoing efforts to assist ISF in developing their capabilities and transitioning into independent security operations for the people of Baghdad.
