Damien Newman, a student in the Basic Rider’s Course with Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 101 and a Galva, Ill., native, moves on to the next portion of a riding course at the Motorcycle Safety Range aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Nov. 14. The courses help riders learn how to react and properly maneuver their motorcycles in turns and in basic handling.
