Staff Sgt. Nicole McBride, from Newark NJ., a member of 380th Bio Environmental flight, tests for chemical agents by heating a tube holder and adding alkaline solution to the beads. If the beads turn a certain color after applying the alkaline solution then it is positive. The Environmental flight ensures all water lots are tested and are safe for personnel.
