Lt. j.g. Melissa Prater monitors a console in the combat information center during an surface towed target exercise aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Stout (DDG 55). The evolution was part of the Exercise Dogu Akdeniz 2013, hosted by Commander, Turkish Fleet, to support interoperability efforts. Stout, home-ported in Norfolk, Va., is on a scheduled deployment supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
