Sgt. 1st Class Robert Foreman, a native of Allegany, N.Y., who serves as the platoon sergeant for 1st Platoon, Company A, Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Multi-National Division - Baghdad, leads his platoon in the traditional moment of silence they observe before every mission. First Platoon Soldiers use the moment to clear their minds and ready themselves mentally for the route clearance missions they perform many times a week.
