Lance Cpl. Christopher E. Pring rotates a pallet stacked with relief supplies from the U.S. Agency for International Development during Operation Damayan Nov. 21 at Villamor Air Base here. The supplies consist of food, water, hygiene materials and shelter resources for citizens throughout the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan left its mark Nov. 7 with record breaking wind speeds that affected more than 4 million people. USAID is the U.S. federal government agency primarily responsible for administering civilian foreign aid. Pring, a native of Tacoma, Wash., is a landing support specialist with Combat Logistics Battalion 4, currently assigned to 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade in support of Joint Task Force 505.
