(From left) Retired Cmdr. Harvey Lasell and Retired Cmdr. Harrier Ferrier salute the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island color guard during a commemoration of the Battle of Midway at the Crescent Harbor Marina on the Seaplane Base. Lasell and Ferrier were the honored guest speakers at the commemoration. Ferrier was 17 when he was a radioman/gunner and flew into battle June 4, 1942, in a Grumman TBF-1 "Avenger."
