John Shapland, U.S. Defense Attache' to Israel, during the Blue Flag exercise at Uvda Air Force Base, Israel, Nov. 25, 2013. Shapiro and Shapland met with personnel from Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England, Israeli Air Force leaders and other allied partners during their visit. Blue Flag was a multinational aerial warfare exercise hosted by Israel, which promoted improved operational capability, combat effectiveness, understanding and cooperation between the U.S., Israel, Greece, and Italy.
