U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Joseph Singerhouse (right) powers up a mountain followed by other soldiers and civilians at Forward Operating Base Gamberi Nov. 29, 2013, during the Torkham Challenge. Singerhouse serves as the senior enlisted adviser, 2nd Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Task Force Patriot. The challenge was a three mile run that took competitors straight to the top of the mountain near FOB Torkham, around each of the base’s observation points, and then finishes at the Helicopter Landing Zone back at the bottom. The challenge was a morale booster for soldiers there. (U.S. Army Photo by Sgt. Eric Provost, Task Force Patriot PAO)
