Friends and family bid farewell to Michigan Army National Guard soldiers from Headquarters, D and E Companies, 3rd Battalion, 238th General Support Aviation Regiment on Monday, Dec. 2, at 10 a.m. from the Grand Ledge Army Aviation Support Facility at 10700 W. Eaton Highway, Grand Ledge, Mich., 48837-9102. The 3/238th GSAB will deploy first to Fort Hood, Texas, for mobilization training before leaving for Kuwait. The battalion will provide rotary wing general support aviation to the New York Army National Guard 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade to conduct air movement of personnel and supplies throughout Kuwait and adjacent areas as required.
