    Sgt. Wayne B. Shover, a satellite communications technician with Maintenance Platoon, Headquarters Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, holds his rifle and head above the water's surface, July 21, 2008, during the Marine Corps Instructor of Water Survival Course on Marine Corps Air Station Futenma. The purpose of the course is to qualify students as MCIWS to provide units with qualified swim instructors to conduct swim qualifications.
