Marines with Landing Support Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 17, 1st Marine Logistics Group, run in formation along Red Beach Training Area, here, Dec. 6, 2013. Marines ran four miles wearing boots and utilities. Sections from the entire regiment stayed together for the first half of the run, but Marines showed their competitive side during the second half as each section raced the clock for the finish line. Headquarters Company, CLR-17, 1st MLG walked away victors, finishing the last leg of the run in 19:40. After the race, Col. Erik Kraft, commanding officer, CLR-17, 1st MLG, spoke about the importance of physical training.
