Soldiers of the Puerto Rican Army National Guard practice cardiopulmonary resuscitation on dummy infants during a CPR certification course in Joint Task Force Guantanamo's Camp America Aug. 1, 2008. The course was conducted by Army Staff Sgt. Christopher Ellis, non-commissioned officer in charge of the Joint Troop Aid Station, and taught the Soldiers how to properly assist victims of cardiac arrest or respiratory arrest. JTF Guantanamo conducts safe and humane care and custody of detained enemy combatants. The JTF conducts interrogation operations to collect strategic intelligence in support of the Global War on Terror and supports law enforcement and war crimes investigations. JTF Guantanamo is committed to the safety and security of American service members and civilians working inside its detention facilities.
