Andrew H.Hodgkins, 22, a scout team leader from Brunswick, Mass., with Charlie Company, 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, Regimental Combat Team 5, ensures there are no illegal substances or items being smuggled across the border during a vehicle check point operation in western Al Anbar province, Iraq, July 4, 2008. Just 4 days later the Marines with Charlie Co., caught and charged three suspected insurgents attempting to smuggle more than 500 pounds of methamphetamines across the border.
