1st Lt. Michael Clark, a platoon leader from Dallas, assigned to the 752nd Explosives Ordnance Disposal Company, attached to the 1st Special Troops Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division -- Baghdad, and Capt. Nicholas Mezmar, a National Guardsmen from Harlingen, Texas, assigned to the 192nd EOD Bn., unwrap grenades left outside of a combat outpost, Aug. 21, 2008, by a concerned Iraqi citizen in the Abu T'shir community of Baghdad's Rashid District. The grenades were confiscated to be destroyed in an EOD shot pit. The 752nd EOD technicians, deployed to Forward Operating Base Falcon in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, are on call 24 hours a day in their ongoing mission to render safe all explosive hazards for coalition forces and Iraqi security forces.
