Staff Sgt. James Letcher assigned to the 1st Combat Command, Ramstein Germany, purchase a gift on the streets of Tbilisi, Georgia. Letcher is deployed to the Republic of Georgia in support of Operation Assured Delivery. At the request of the government of Georgia, humanitarian assistance efforts are being coordinated by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Agency for International Development with assistance, as required being provided by the Department of Defense following the conflict between Russian and Georgian forces.
