Petty Officer 1st Class Vern Lababit, assigned to the "Gauntlets" of Electronic Attack Squadron 136, inspects the engine cabin of an EA-6B Prowler aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington during a scheduled preventive maintenance cycle before the engine is re-installed. George Washington is sailing off the coast of Southern California where the crew is conducting training evolutions with Carrier Air Wing 5. George Washington departed San Diego on Aug. 21, 2008, en route to Yokosuka, Japan, where the ship will replace USS Kitty Hawk as the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier.
