Navy Lt. (Dr.) Karen Ganacias, right, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3's medical officer, tours Tonga's Vaiola National Hospital during a visit to NMCB 3's Tonga construction civic action detail. Ganacias oversaw influenza immunizations to the Tonga CCAD in addition to networking throughout the Pacific island's different medical outlets to help increase the detail's overall medical readiness. The CCAD's mission is to execute engineering civic assistance projects, conduct formal training with the host nation, and perform community relations events to help enhance shared capabilities and improve the country's social welfare.
