Jackie "Mom" Kaye receives a round of applause in appreciation of her service to the Virginia class attack submarine USS North Carolina during the North Carolina change of command ceremony at Naval Station Norfolk. Mom Kaye has adopted 22 other submarines throughout her lifetime. Cmdr. Wes Schlauder relieved Capt. Mark Davis, who commissioned the boat May 3, 2008 in Wilmington, N.C.
