Sgt. 1st Class David Dimoff, a water purification specialist instructor with the 8/88th Quartermaster Battalion, teaches soldiers how to determine potential hydrogen in a water sample while competing in the 80th Training Command (TASS) Instructor of the Year Competition at Fort Knox, Ky., Jan. 6, 2014. Competitors are judged on their communication skills, technical and tactical knowledge, appearance and military bearing. Judges also give consideration to training contribution, training-literature development, and article publication research. The winner of the event in each category will compete at the TRADOC level.
