    Commander Task Force 56

    Sailors assigned to Commander, Task Group (CTG) 56.1 re-qualify on the MK-16 MOD 1 underwater breathing apparatus during training evolutions. The MK 16 MOD 1 is a re-breathable underwater system that minimizes surface bubbles during operations. CTG 56.1 conducts mine countermeasures, explosive ordnance disposal, salvage-diving and force protection operations throughout the 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
