First Sgt. Kenneth Blackstone of the Georgia Army National Guard sings the national anthem as more than 100 additional Georgia Guardsman spread a U.S. flag across the field during the opening ceremony of the Falcon’s Veterans Day weekend game. Blackstone will deploy to Afghanistan with 200 more Georgia Army National Guardsmen of the 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team in December. The Georgia Army National Guard will have deployed and redeployed more than 1,200 soldiers to Afghanistan in 2013 alone once the 48th IBCT deploys. (Georgia Army National Guard Photo by Maj.
