Tyrone Aken, Honeywell material coordinator, directs a truck into the shipyard after it rolls off the USNS Pomeroy (T-AKR-316), Jan. 7, 2014, at Joint Base Charleston – Weapons Station, S.C. Once equipment is in the shipyard, the material coordination team scan the items before it is turned over to the Army Strategic Logistics Activity Charleston for maintenance. Once re-loaded onto a ship, the equipment is prepositioned overseas for 18 to 36 months near potential hotspots until it is needed by the warfighter. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. William O’Brien)
