Max Ragsdale, head coach of the Campo Verde High School varsity football team of Gilbert, Ariz., was recently chosen to receive the United States Marine Corps 2013 Semper Fi Coach Award for Arizona, which he will receive during a presentation at the Phoenix Glazier Football Clinic, Feb. 8, 2014. Ragsdale was nominated for the award by the Marines of Marine Corps Recruiting Station Phoenix for exemplifying the Marine Corps’ values of honor, courage and commitment. “The goal each year is to be state champions, but making better husbands, better fathers and better men is our ultimate goal,” said Ragsdale.
