Staff Sgt. Andrew Taylor loads dry ice into a cooler for transport at the 379th Expeditionary Medical Group Blood Transshipment Center, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Jan. 17, 2014. The BTC is the sole source for dry ice in Central Command’s area of responsibility. The BTC receives six tons of dry ice and ships four tons monthly to blood supply detachments. The dry ice is essential for assuring that frozen blood products are safely distributed to outlying forward operating bases. Taylor is a medical logistics technician deployed from Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., and is a Hopatcong, N.J., native. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt. David Miller)
