Lt. Matthew Zackman uses a flight simulator to fly an NC-4 aircraft that Cmdr. Elmer Stone flew to cross the Atlantic Ocean during a birthday celebration for Stone at Coast Guard Air Station Miami, Jan. 22. Stone was the first Coast Guard aviator, who successfully piloted the first aircraft across the Atlantic Ocean eight years before the famous crossing made by Charles Lindbergh.
