Staff Sgt. Matthew Francis, the Helicopter Rope Suspension Training lead instructor with Special Operations Training Group, II MEF Expeditionary Force, yells instructions to the students over the loud roar of the MV-22B Osprey or tilt-rotor aircraft, as they reach the ground and secure the rope. The HRST course seats 20 students who are then broken up into two or three different groups at a time.
