Members of the Anchorage FBI Special Weapons and Tactics team, see just how easy it is to bury a snow machine in deep snow without the right skills or experience. The team attended a weeklong course designed by U.S. Army Alaska’s Northern Warfare Training Center to specifically meet their needs to expand their arctic knowledge and learn invaluable over-snow mobility skills such as operating and maintaining snow machines, recovering a stuck machine and movement in deep snow conditions.
