Sailors assigned to Commander, Task Group (CTG) 56.11, begin embarked security team (EST) training aboard a combat littoral simulator at Naval Support Activity Bahrain, Jan. 26. The simulator allows ESTs to train in a controlled, digital environment using various shoot/no-shoot scenarios involving sea, land, and air assets. CTG-56.11 conducts maritime security operations to ensure freedom of movement for strategic shipping and naval vessels operating throughout the 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
